Oh John - some years ago, I used to say to people in e-mails 'sometimes I think that the only way to get them (the professionals) to change their obviously flawed behaviour, is to make them too embarrassed to not change'. So far - it doesn't work, for EoL (at least not well).

It's a tough balance. What we really want to do is discuss concerns & have then taken seriously/addressed in a calm, caring, professional manner - privately. People only resort to other measures once it's apparent that won't happen. Reputation becomes the new battle ground then.
