I'm familiar with the details, yes. I also know that the jury found #BawaGarba's acts/omissions to be truly, exceptionally bad (& thus grossly negligent) even *in all the circumstances*.
Forgive me taking the lazy option, but it's a lot to have to re-type:https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/1029303542685814789?s=21 …

Point 1: "Judge Nichol accepted that all the systemic failures could not be explored at trial" This is misleading. What Nichol J *actually* said re systemic failures was: "There was a limit to how far these issues could be explored at trial." That does NOT mean the same thing. 2/pic.twitter.com/lLJiwfp88X

In actual fact, the only 2 systemic factors not explored at trial were those deemed to be "of no consequence because
#BawaGarba could have called on a consultant". The High Court even confirmed "All significant systemic errors and responsibility of others were before the jury" 3/pic.twitter.com/Ma1BfQdBS8

That significant systemic issues & responsibility of others were covered at trial, (even if there was a limit as to how far they could be explored), is a point which becomes apparent when looking at
#BawaGarba's defence summary from the Court of Appeal judgement. 4/pic.twitter.com/HVpaQnnEZ5

Point 2: "Dr
#BawaGarba is no criminal" Err...yes, she is a criminal. You have a profile picture with your arm around a convicted criminal. Fact. Here's the court of appeal judgement refusing her leave to appeal her conviction, in case you've forgotten: 5/ http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Crim/2016/1841.html … -
Point 3: "We won
#Sellu but my view is losing an appeal does not confirm guilt." What does confirm guilt then? Are you also of the view that winning an appeal does not confirm innocence? Meaning Sellu isn't in the clear? Can't have it both ways, try as you might. Same judge! 6/ -
Point 4: "I support proactive patient safety but not the system making scapegoats" You constantly claim
#BawaGarba has been scapegoated but you fail to explain how so many non-NHS parties have colluded to do so or why. Police CPS Coroner Judges Jurors All in on the conspiracy? /7 -
You shamelessly misdirect readers on the facts of this case imho, in order to attempt to influence opinion and gain support for reforms which are designed to secure unjustified extra protections for doctors. I've had enough of it, frankly.

Often, Drs and nurses don't have the tools (time, skills, staff) to do our jobs. Managers NEVER held accountable for this, it seems. Individual mistakes are supposed to have a safety net system. Please keep speaking up for
#patientsafety We all want better patient care. -
No managerial accountability. Why was the GMC silent on the role of other more senior doctors and managers in the Jack Adcock tragedy?
-
The first belatedly known intervention by GMC was revoking/cancelling Dr
#bawagarba registration when she was known to have been charged by police. Other doctors not charged with manslaughter? GMC not regulating managers? So many such deaths, GMC can't track them all? -
ZHH UK Society does not yet grasp Avoidable Death + Avoidable Harm; certainly would be astounded by est 7,500 per annum Avoidable Deaths. The NHS + healthcare establishment does not yet know how to talk about them, let alone tackle them....
