WHAT?
@rosemaryhopkin ? What can we do to best HELP you? I've lost my battle with#NHSResolution & the nasty vile law firms that feed off#NHS#clinicalnegligence - but I'll make time to assist your awful situation - its appalling! What can our#Twitter network do to help?3 replies 4 retweets 7 likes -

This is why I think
#AlfiesLaw has relevance to all of us. When the#NHS closes ranks & brings all it's resources to bear, what chance does the average patient/their family have? It's a very 1 sided almost totalitarian regime. This is why accountability & choice is so important.2 replies 10 retweets 10 likes -

Don't you think Robbie's Law (a Legal Duty of Candour for all healthcare professionals) is equally as important? The doctors that let our son die a torturous death in 1990 from a treatable & suspected disease then lied & falsified the child's medical records! No accountability!

How do you square a duty of candour with the right to remain silent?

Doctors who remain silent and doctors lying about the circumstances of a child's death and falsifying medical records are two completely different scenarios. Do you think doctors that cause the death of children or our loved ones should have the right to remain silent?

The way I see it they have a choice. Yes, like all of us they have the right to remain silent. But if they choose to do so, then they'd be guilty of breaching stat DoC. So the guilty can remain silent & guarantee conviction, or speak up & hope for lenience. Innocent people speak.

I agree John. Dr Bawa Garba told the truth & identified systemic failures but was convicted of gross negligence manslaughter. The doctors in Robbie's case lied & falsified medical records but evaded prosecution. Interesting that no-one has made the comparison between the 2 cases!pic.twitter.com/ZWWsy7HGHM

Indeed. As I said, the guilty can speak up & hope for lenience. That seems to be what happened to Bawa Garba. Despite not pleading guilty & appealing twice, she received a lenient sentence - perhaps for her honest reflections? Covering up should result in prosecution every time.

As you know John there was 35 suggested charges set out against 5 doctors & their secretary re Robbie's case & they still evaded prosecution. Manslaughter, forgery, perverting justice & conspiracy to pervert justice! It's now back in the hands of the DPP!https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/prosecute-doctors-over-death-son-7314074 …

And I look forward to the day when each and every charge is laid before a court, Will. Let's just hope you're not made to wait too much longer. It's been a lifetime already.

Thanks John. It's difficult to believe that the passage of time (13yrs) was used by CPS not to prosecute in 2003 when there was sufficient evidence to do so. It will be 4yrs on Tuesday that the DPP agreed to the review & over 28yrs since Robbie's death!https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/fathers-despair-delays-cps-review-9682318 …
