I have seen this several times. Development can continue way past expectations. Sometimes time sorta stuff out! Things progress at their own pace

It's been intense and we've very much walked our own path to this point, but it's slowly paying off. I'd have willingly given you my right arm a couple of years ago in exchange for the conversations I can now have with my son. Even the ones where he speaks Chinese! (Self taught)

Brilliant! Utterly utterly brilliant! How old is he John?
-
He's still only 8. I still refer to him as little one, but he's really not that little any more. -
wow! You have so many years of joy ahead of you

-
Oh yes!
But also... so many languages ahead too!
(Chinese is just his latest fad)
I preferred the previous ones - at least I could still understand the keyboard and the menus then!
-
I would recommend manga cartoons and learning Japanese for the speech bubbles. You may have a chance then
-
Thinking/dancing. Thank you! I'm kinda hoping he moves on to another language again soon tbh. We went through a large number of Eastern European ones previously, so fingers crossed he wanders back into the Latin alphabet again. I could live without having to learn symbols!
