Thank you Karen.
Yes, @DrRanj, so much misinformation about vaccines out there indeed. But that also includes from the medical establishment you would have us consult, it seems?https://twitter.com/C7RKY/status/1043846882731216897 …

John Clarke @C7RKY>> I'm still trying to grasp how much the US position influences matters in the UK, but could it *really* be possible that the required safety measures for US vaccines haven't been in place for over 30 YEARS? The very suggestion should terrify any rational thinking person.Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

...misinformation. Oh, and fraud. Let's not forget allegations of scientific fraud. Who to believe?

Definitely worth getting flu vaccination if you’re in an “at risk” group. Which I reckon you are.

Yes I do get my flu vaccine since
#sepsis@drpaulmorgan It was my Gp that highly reccomended it. Trying to encourage people to discuss with their own Gp the benefits, as they are hearing negative comments about it.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

The problem with the flu vaccine is that a new version is needed each year due to genetic drift, which can then make the in-use version poorly efficacious. Happened a few times in recent years. A “universal” vaccine is being developed.

Also they hear a lot of "scare " stories. And this is so sad, as some people who have never had the flu jab before, and are recovering from a serious illness, are being scared off by claims of toxins and other horrors for example.

Just to be clear, I've not mentioned toxins anywhere and the only 'other horrors' under discussion here are those that stem from the pitiful regulation of medicines in general. Such 'scare' stories as you describe them should concern everyone, (clinicians included), imho. 1/

If I were consulting a GP on this matter, I'd ask to see what evidence supports the case now. E.g. Here is the Cochrane review of all available studies for flu vaccine use in healthy adults: https://www.cochrane.org/CD001269/ARI_vaccines-prevent-influenza-healthy-adults … And similar for healthy children: https://www.cochrane.org/CD004879/ARI_vaccines-preventing-influenza-healthy-children … 2/

Some Cochrane reviews do exist for specific conditions, such as the COPD example shown below, but I can't locate an equivalent for SEPSIS I'm afraid. That may not indicate that it doesn't exist, perhaps simply that I haven't located it. https://twitter.com/C7RKY/status/1041894621767495680 … 3/3
John Clarke added,
John Clarke @C7RKYReplying to @kkstuart @nw_nicholas @HeldinEUSeems there are just 6 studies for flu jab specific to COPD, with only 2,469 participants combined, producing evidence of moderate quality, but the most recent of those is 14yrs old. And of course my point about selectively hiding half the evidence stands. https://www.cochrane.org/CD002733/AIRWAYS_influenza-vaccine-people-chronic-obstructive-pulmonary-disease-copd …0 replies 1 retweet 1 likeThanks.
