At least if you love them it is far easier. I pity the women I know who are looking after in-laws.

It's not a situation I face, (both sadly passed away), but I can imagine what you mean. It's challenging enough when it's unconditional.

Thank you. I really don't have a plan B, so have to make it work somehow. He's already long since exceeded every limitation that was suggested he'd be facing throughout life, so a promising start, but still a long way to go. :) xxx

I have seen this several times. Development can continue way past expectations. Sometimes time sorta stuff out! Things progress at their own pace

It's been intense and we've very much walked our own path to this point, but it's slowly paying off. I'd have willingly given you my right arm a couple of years ago in exchange for the conversations I can now have with my son. Even the ones where he speaks Chinese! (Self taught)
