It'd be great to think any of us could fix the whole damn mess. But we're all going to have to settle for millimetre by millimetre progress - one more doctor's mind changed, one more patient helped, one more pair of eyes opened. Don't let it wear you down.

Thank you. In so many ways it feels like we're being driven backwards of late, tbh. Previously hard-earned millimetres at risk of being wiped out in a stroke. My resolve is unaffected, but I need to find a more impactful and sustainable way of doing this.

I know what you mean. Sort of feels we're doing it with our life blood sometimes, or like dozens of sisyphuses pushing boulders up mountains. But I'm convinced we're making progress. Social media gives more traction than ever before. Only rule: stay well

So true! I liken it to the warnings we get on airplanes. Always attach your own oxygen mask before attempting to help others. We can't help anybody else if we pass out first. :)

You have a pre-prepared meme for the occasion? I'm impressed! :)

Haha! And just ever so slightly unnerving. :)

Yes, that thought had occurred to me. I think I may switch my main efforts onto a blog and just use Twitter for distribution & debate around the posts instead. Recently bought http://TheDearJohnBlog.com domain name, inspired by
@doctorcaldwell's open letter to me. Let's see... -
it would be a really good endeavour! And may save you time "please see my blog ..." :D

That does have a nice ring to it... not to mention far fewer characters than my average tweet!! :)

Things change very slowly in Healthcare, research can take over 12 years to make it into practice. We just need to keep on plugging away and trying to make a difference whilst not letting the fight affect our lives too much. A difficult balance!

Indeed it is, Lynn. Oh for a shortcut... :)
