@C7RKY The thesis revolves around adult inpatient mental health services. The tables I devised & the compiled statistics shed light on the inner sanctum of the mh services which are a shambles & disgrace contrary to ECHR & CRPD which Ireland as signatories too & need to implement

I was floored by lack of compliance to Regulations, Rules, Section 52 (d)-Section 59-ECT, Section 69-Seclusion & Mechanical Restraint, Part 4 Mental Health Act 2001-Consent to Treatment & the 6 Codes of Practice making for dismal & mind-blowing reading & services disintegrating

Yeah... I've been floored by the lack of compliance with so many things on this journey, I've honestly lost count. Consent to treatment was my start point, but it hasn't got much better as I've looked around more broadly since either.https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/601118759995187201?s=21 …

The concept of consent did not exist when an inpatient in 1989 & I was naive expecting that I would be participating in the medication regime choice & when seeking information was advised "It's non-addictive"! I did have the capacity to understand & make an informed decision too

I could go on all night about pharma drugs, their lack of science and the misleading data that supports them. Non-addictive claims being just one good example, though there are so many. Consent and the MCA make such uncomfortable bedfellows in the UK. Makes for a minefield.
