Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

Its the modern aspect. It all started in 1979 when Thatcher turned the NHS into a shopping high street- putting a market value on health. I was there squabbling one a drip stand sitting doing nothing in a store cupboard on one ward while I needed it on another.... Degree nursing

Lets say I'm the chancellor. Here's £100m to spend on healthcare, where are YOU going to spend it? Who are YOU going to say no to? Need more? Here's £200m, now same question. However much you have, someone still has to decide where to spend it, and how to get the best from it.

After the yrs worth of hrs I did OT without pay/TOIL, I know it isn't going to ward staff. The multiple changes in policy to justify armies of desk jockeys, then shelve it, is where I would start. Then pay RNs to train on the wards so get more than academics at the end of 3yrs

But this is not about spending more money, which is what everyone is always clamouring for. My point is that demand will just keep rising every time the budget rises, so you will always end up saying no to someone.

There are numerous ways in which to improve the NHS and *save* money at the same time, some are discussed here:http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b087rx6b …

If they abolished #phso it would save £37 million.

If they abolished all the Ombudsman’s Offices, including ours, I would be so euphoric I reckon I could forget all about my inflammatory illnesses & wrecked discs in my spine & do an Irish jig around the kitchen floor.

Somebody needs to point that copper to the #Gosport report. Not even a hint of taking the allegation seriously! I never found a single member of the police with a law degree either. Why is he taking the word of one side over the other without expert investigation?

The police man also admitted that the doctors told him "if he wasnt there they would have ended her life" surely theres the matter of consent, mums to ill to make it and family saying no... So why they making call? Anyway if morphine dont work, theres always starvation FFS

What we don't know from that is if his mum has capacity, or whether he has any power of attorney arrangements. Consent stems from there. Highly distressing in light of #Gosport findings though. Are you catching this, @neilgchurchill?

The policeman said he was there to protect the Hospital staff. So is there a different law for nursing staff than there is for patients? Police man also said he had to listen to the medical professionals. Shipman, Allit and Dr Barton are medical professionals aren't they?pic.twitter.com/u9hIN3bnvc
