Sara & John, here’s what is is interesting, you understand so much about this case but neither of you appear to hold an MBBS/BMBS/MChB between you. Have you actually ever taken responsibility for someone’s life in your hands? Let alone 6 wards worth? https://twitter.com/sarasiobhan/status/1030345610866712576 …

Meaning MPTS's assertion (via their sanction) that public confidence is unaffected by allowing her to practise as a doctor with a GNM conviction is now reinstated, so is rightfully coming under fresh public scrutiny. And it's not standing up too well to it, from where I sit.

Which should perhaps come as no surprise considering even the GMC believed she should be struck off to avoid harming public confidence in the medical profession and the High Court - who did re-examine the trial evidence - agreed with the GMC.

And to finish; my son has pica. A condition which has potential to be fatal in an instant, if you're unlucky. Whilst typing all this, I've been watching him on the monitor which I carry around everywhere with me during the times I'm not with him in person.

One slip. One momentary lapse of attention and it could be the one I spend the rest of my life regretting. So no, I'm not a doctor, but yes, I do actually know how it feels to take responsibility for somebody else's life in my hands. Every. Single. Day. Thanks for asking.
