I'd love to put out a survey tweet asking the public (non-clinicians) if they felt the result from the #BawaGarba case gave them confidence in the medical profession. Problem is; I'm followed by altogether far too many clinicians to get an accurate result.
That's right. That's how courts work when somebody gets convicted of manslaughter. For all of us. Doctors included.

True, but so difficult for a jury in cases like this. Was this a mistake or a judgement call that wasn't back up by a good system. I can't say, but there are genuine questions which require some detailed, cool reflection. Confidence has taken another knock.

GNM is none of those things according to the law I've been reading about. I've had cause to do some of that cool reflecting you mention. I'd be really interested to hear what you think of how it came out, (if you can endure 7 pages of a reply)?https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/1028409578076160000?s=21 …

I saw it previously, though, sadly I couldn't access it.

Oh no, you too? I'm really going to have to get my IT act together if I'm going to start doing things like this. Don't suppose this PDF version works for you? I've had to resort to email earlier - which you're welcome to if this doesn't work. https://1drv.ms/b/s!Al9MeK9ofDhMph8an0I5r1mbfpSs …

Fair enough. Guess I'd better start getting my head around Dropbox then, eh?

Low and behold, I just found I already have it in my phone. Is this link any good?https://www.dropbox.com/s/ca70n2do7e4eyz3/Dear%20Gordon%20Letter.pdf?dl=0 …

Got it, ta. Will have a good read a bit later. I think these conversations are vital, but sadly they don't tend to go beyond a few people outside of medicine.
