“Struck off for honest mistakes”
Phenomenal journalism from @deb_cohen for providing a much needed insight into #bawagarba, which answers many of the questions we all have about this desperately sad case.

The right verdict was reached in the
#BawaGarba case. But there are no winners. A family has lost a son. A dedicated doctor placed in an appalling circumstance in which she did her best has been vindicated, but she has not yet got back her career1 reply 0 retweets 5 likes -
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, just you've got those last 2 points about face. Today's result in fact did give her career back - by overturning her erasure - but it did not vindicate her, as her conviction still stands.

Only when Bawa Garba is back in work does she have her career back. I regard the judgement reached in her favour yesterday as a vindiction. I don't think I would revise what I said. I also said there are no winners here.

Well she'll have to complete her suspension first before she can get a job - I presume you don't think that's unreasonable? I agree there are no winners here, but vindication it isn't, I'm afraid. Long read, but here's why I think so if you're interested:https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/1028409578076160000?s=21 …

I can only hope this helps explain my perspective & I thank you for explaining yours. https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=4C387C68AF784C5F!4877&ithint=file%2cdocx&app=Word&authkey=!AJ1wnW1exT0tsis …#JackAdcock#BawaGarba#IsabelAmaro1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -
I have been reading extensively about this case over many months thank you. I am a former Director of Professional Standards with professional and medical regulatory bodies. Thank you.

And? So that automatically means my opinion has no value compared to yours? Right... understood.

I didn't say that. I simply point out to you my interest in this and background. You were assuming I lacked knowledge and needed more reading material after all. I won't reply further. Thank you

I made no such assumption. Though I would've expected someone of your background to recognise that it's a stretch to describe a still convicted criminal as vindicated. I'll say no more. I don't feel I need to.

The judgement reached in the criminal case and finding is now suspect. Because of the finding in the Bawa Garba case yesterday. The law is a process and that process is not now complete. We disagree. You seem to have an agenda. I am sorry the facts no longer fit this.

Suspect based upon what? And I've no agenda other than establishing the truth. If she manages to get her conviction quashed in the same way David Sellu did then fair enough. Are you suggesting there will be a further appeal of the conviction? Despite being refused leave to do so?
