You can only get interested in something when you hear about it or life hits you with it - you know that Kate. When Doctors became interested in an injustice is of no relevance as to whether an injustice occurred or not @DrGrumble @djnicholl

But when they became interested is relevant to why they became interested. For most it was never about Bawa Garba or Jack Alcock it was about them, their fear for their own careers. It is a mentality that shines through from modern NHS professionals.

Why don’t you believe 54000 Doctors who are saying current NHS Structure and Process are so shoddy that patients will inevitably suffer? We are saying this because we want big Improvements to protect patients eghttps://www.dropbox.com/s/cmxilazg0zfido0/NHS%20Vaccination%20Against%20Polio%20But%20No%20NHS%20Vaccination%20Against%20Clinical%20Ignorance%20Word97.doc?dl=0 …

If Doctors are saying the system is knackered, I have no reason to disbelieve anyone. I just think we need to be careful that not every case is blamed on a system and no improvement made to the system. I don’t think that is in anyway beneficial to any patients safety.

The system & cultural norms in the NHS need radical reform and rethinking so that sick patients get to see doctors in a timely manner, get as secure diagnoses as possible & treatment before deterioration https://www.dropbox.com/s/ie77fukcd7v3dmb/doortodoctortime.pdf?dl=0 … When ill you want to see a Doctor

I think there is so much currently wrong with the NHS but medics only want to listen to medics. It’s ingrained in them to not listen to the public despite the serious concerns raised in a range of areas.

Yep. Look at anything a harmed patient posts - the interest, tweets, responses vs anything a medic posts. The different levels of interest are staggering.

Look at the response to Gordon’s letter (95 likes 54 retweets) and John’s repsonse (10 likes 7 retweets) Lets check back in 5 days and see how things stand on this!

I think I had 3 or 4 day’s lead Anyway what matters is whether the reader reads and thinks. It only takes one person to spark a fire. Absolute numbers mean little.

That’s why I said let’s check back in 5 days.. how many of your colleagues will have tweeted and liked do you reckon? We don’t have a collective the like of medics. Ours is smaller, no less passionate, just smaller.

Strange activity on mine tbh. Can't think of any other tweets which have attracted similar numbers. 204 clicks on the letter link and 67 profile clicks, but just 8 retweets & 15 likes. Reading it, but not visibly reacting to it? Make of that what you will...pic.twitter.com/vzr5geVlBI
