@doctorcaldwell Dear Gordon, I've spent considerably longer than your commute thinking about your letter entitled 'Mistakes Happen'. I can only hope this helps explain my perspective & I thank you for explaining yours. https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=4C387C68AF784C5F!4877&ithint=file%2cdocx&app=Word&authkey=!AJ1wnW1exT0tsis …#JackAdcock#BawaGarba#IsabelAmaro10 replies 13 retweets 26 likes -

Dear John You write masterfully, beautifully.
@JanMDavies I am left wondering that once#BawaGarba was judged truly exceptionally bad and guilty of manslaughter of a child why the sentence didn’t match the conviction? Shouldn’t she have been put away for 10 years or more?2 replies 3 retweets 6 likes -

Or could it be that The Judge was sending a coded message ‘The Law is an Ass’ by handing down such a lenient sentence for really truly bad mistakes that through gross negligence killed a child?

I honestly don't know. It's clear that many believe the mitigation was strong, so perhaps that reflected in the sentencing, if not in the verdict? I'm also aware she herself has a disabled child to care for & I'd like to hope the child's welfare was accounted for in any decision.
