No I think it was for the original trial John. I remember being shocked at what I was reading, it covered the enalapril being given and the fact that Jack was haemorrhaging into his lungs. Will have another look.

That ruling is from the GMC case. The criminal court transcript has never been published. The SI report is somewhere on the internet, last saw it published by

Thanks Kate. On reflection I can’t remember exactly what it was I read but it certainly provided much more medical detail than I had read before. I remember being very shocked at the amount of failings in Jacks care.

For a number of doctors to be defending her actions, has me thinking that the is generally the level of acceptable practice & care. Why else would they be screaming "it could be me next"? We accept it as service users or die.

If the doctors tweeting

Not really Kate. It's the circumstances that you need to look at not the individual. In that perfect storm of re-entry after a career break, major understaffing, lack of consultant support, etc many of us at that stage in our careers could have ended up in the same position.

I think we can all agree that the care given to Jack that day was “ truly, exceptionally bad “. Due to that a child lost their life and it’s the parents who have a life sentence. That’s got lost in all of this.

Lynching a single doc for what happened due to the mortality inviting management of the NHS at that hospital is like seeking the death penalty for unintentional, accidental deaths. It's Jeremy Hunt and his Hospital management that should be on trial.

Lynching, really? Where in any of the comments I have made do I blame the Dr solely for what happened?

You did not. I am using words to describe what did happen to te doctor. By the system. Also, debate should e about different views, no matter how robust. Otherwise, justice can be tainted by one sided investigations. The system and conditions she was faced with were inhuman.

"Otherwise, justice can be tainted by one sided investigations" Really? Re UK Courts? You think our courts only hear 1 side of an argument? Re the NHS? Rarely have words ever sounded more ironic. Ever...

Wasn't she investigated by her professional peers, at least once and the convicted by a jury of her peers? Now £300k for another go at it, she's had a fair old crack at the whip!

Not to mention 2 failed appeals of the original conviction. So yes.. not a bad crack at it, all things considered.
