Had a v poorly little boy to look after for the last 4 days, (mercifully through the worst now). And next to worry for my son's wellbeing, do you know what the overriding feeling was? Fear. Fear of the medical profession getting their hands on my son. Are you proud of yourselves?
I've been following the story - I'm so sorry to hear your family is one of those affected. It's caused me to keep my eye on similar issues to yourself by the sounds of things. Did you pick up on this recent development over the pond?https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/1018483805827551233?s=21 …

Thank you, yes I have. Our group is excited that this study has just been published in the BMJhttps://ebm.bmj.com/content/early/2018/07/27/bmjebm-2018-111012 …

That's astonishing. And SO disappointing. I've always held Cochrane in high regard, but that's unforgivable. I can't see all the text; do they suggest inclusion of all the trials would affect the conclusions too? Wouldn't be a surprise, given past form:https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/958389335778381824?s=21 …

This will interest you too:" By the law of Garbage In Garbage Out, whatever we produce in our reviews will be systematically assembled and synthesised garbage with a nice Cochrane logo on it."https://ebm.bmj.com/content/23/2/46

Excellent steer, thank you Helen. Clinical trials and the publishing of them is a real soapbox subject for me, so very interesting to watch this one develop.

The UK Vaccine Victim Support are campaigning for the UK scheme to be completely updated, as is our group. Current system not fit for purpose. Very difficult process. http://vvsg.co.uk/

Can't believe I've never found that organisation before - thank you. Interesting they seem to be campaigning for greater compensation, but I can't see obvious reference to them demanding greater safety testing? Is it me..?

I'm sure they'll want that as well but the aim of the group is to focus on the revision of the Act. We are trying to get the APPG Vaccine Damaged People up and running again. Used to be Chaired by Russell Brown MP.
