Reasonable body of medical opinion'? Or 'Risable body of medical opinion'? When you allow doctors to judge other doctors' behaviour as 'reasonable' based upon yet more doctor colleagues saying they'd do the same, then Bolam gets exposed for what it is: unreasonable protectionism.https://twitter.com/Allyncondon/status/1021667478760501248 …

The old ‘reasonable body of opinion’. GMC expert said that the Chid Death Review was inaccurate and dismissed it in its entirety. Surely the 12 medics who attended and the several other Dictors who agreed with it are a ‘reasonable body of opinion’ who are he GMC to say otherwise

Aah.. but it's all in the definition of a 'reasonable body'. Don't ask me which case it was I found back in my researching days, but I saw an indication that 10% of a given specialism would be accepted as a reasonable body. So 90% of them could totally disagree and it's still ok.
