Whenever I see discussion of a 'just' culture in the NHS, it makes me twitch. Smacks of 'just let us carry on getting away with it' when considered in context, frankly.

A bit like our recent GMC investigation John. It was not relevant that a drug was given two days out of protocol causing Ben to collapse and die because, wait for it ‘It is done by Doctors all over the UK’

And there was me thinking that Bolam demands a REASONABLE body of medical opinion should agree. How is agreeing to do something out of protocol reasonable?

God knows. The same GMC expert dismissed the multi professional child death review attended by 12 medical professionals as innacurate and failed to consider any of it. Amazing how these Doctors he claims were so inaccurate he believes every other word they say.

The cautionary principle gets misapplied whichever way suits them, eh? Blatant manipulation and they don't care that see it. The balls on them sometimes is incredible. But they know they're effectively self regulated, so rarely any real danger of their bullshit being scrutinised.
