I think it started out as a good old fashioned cover up gone wrong tbh. Wrong because they threw her under the bus so hard, she bounced back at the whole profession. The only ones a weakened regulator makes safer are doctors - like they needed any help. Patients, not so much.

Not needed.........the doctor acted in the best interests of the patient.....which can override family or patient conscent, regardless if the treatment is good or bad for them.

She hasn’t been arrested yet as she has not done anything wrong. Causing the deaths of over 450 people in the NHS is not criminal. Now that would be silly wouldn’t it. She was acting in their best interests. We just need to give these Doctors a break.

Supposedly by another police force, yes. I thought so. But which force? Has anyone heard anything more on that?

Not sure which force, but it’s going to take them a while to get the evidence together I should imagine.

Not necessarily - the panel have all the evidence they've gathered for the cases in their report which police can access quickly. Wouldn't mind seeing this new force exercise a search warrant at the trust though - find out if they 'forgot' to hand any records to the inquiry.
