Even without that, GMC hardly ever impose permanent erasure it seems. And when they try, as with Bawa Garba, the medical world squeals & demands change. Didn't care that she was convicted of gross negligent manslaughter, but all hell broke loose when they tried to strike her off.

And as a consequence they now appear to have become extremely weak which I am sure the medical profession will be delighted at. They can now all do what they want with no consequence. After all that is what they wanted, right?

I think it started out as a good old fashioned cover up gone wrong tbh. Wrong because they threw her under the bus so hard, she bounced back at the whole profession. The only ones a weakened regulator makes safer are doctors - like they needed any help. Patients, not so much.

I’m all for a peaceful, pain free death, WHEN the time is right.. this has chilled me to the bone. I’ve read a little, but had to stop, it was horrific, I will continue soon.

Absolutely agree. Nobody wants anyone suffering in pain at the end. But nobody wants to be killed when they're vulnerable by those who are supposed to care for them, because they're perceived as 'difficult' either. It is a truly chilling read so far.
