Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

She knew, when the GMC caught her, she immediately retired - else she would have been kicked out - that's guilt, in itself.

Even without that, GMC hardly ever impose permanent erasure it seems. And when they try, as with Bawa Garba, the medical world squeals & demands change. Didn't care that she was convicted of gross negligent manslaughter, but all hell broke loose when they tried to strike her off.

And as a consequence they now appear to have become extremely weak which I am sure the medical profession will be delighted at. They can now all do what they want with no consequence. After all that is what they wanted, right?

I think it started out as a good old fashioned cover up gone wrong tbh. Wrong because they threw her under the bus so hard, she bounced back at the whole profession. The only ones a weakened regulator makes safer are doctors - like they needed any help. Patients, not so much.

The only people that I have seen being thrown under the bus John are the families by "all" government and quangos . The only people that have bounced back are the families .. 20 years of our life suppressing us all, only the #libdems exposed this #shameful #Conservatives #Labour

Where was the “Informed Consent” to allow these drugs to be administered.?

Not needed.........the doctor acted in the best interests of the patient.....which can override family or patient conscent, regardless if the treatment is good or bad for them.

Not sure who gave you that impression, but it's absolutely not true. Firstly, any proposed treatment must be of 'overall benefit to the pt' and ALL treatments can be refused, (unless they abuse the MCA to impose it). Pt consent is required here. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/138296/dh_103653__1_.pdf …pic.twitter.com/WtDuXZzpBh

          (1) EOLC LCP is classed as care treatment & if they say you have no mental capacity they can override you with what THEY (the MDT team) think is in your best interests. By law you can refuse treatment but you can't demand it. The medics may say it's of benefit to the patient but

          (2) many pple think the MCA document is abuse in itself & it is abused on a daily basis. The wording is ambiguous & methods for using it are flawed. It is allegedly used as a weapon to threaten carers of elderly & disabled people. Used in part for those on a glorified power trip.

          (3) It's sole purpose in my view is so relatives have to take their 'next of kin hats off ; Therefore if the medics say put on a DNR and EOLC, then that is what they will all agree with. I think their ethic is "We are the professionals and your not, so what we say goes"

          (4) In other words we only have a 'say' that's all and nothing else. I don't think our words or feelings are even taken into account, they are just brushed aside.
