Considerably more nurses have been convicted. That may be who gets blamed yet.

It's a hierarchy of protection. Throw the lowest common denominator to the wolves to save yourself. When you can't contain the scandal to nursing staff, throw them a junior doctor - like they did with Bawa Garba. Consultant goes unscathed.

Abusive & vexatious - the only 2 criteria detailed in the NHS Constitution which permit them to withhold services & refuse to engage in correspondence. Is it any surprise to us that they abuse that rule to hide the abuse of their patients? Not really. The surprise is we let them.
