It seems that once the syringe driver delivering morphine and other opitates was attached to the patient, their death was inevitable - whether they were in pain and needed opiates or not.

And yet despite that sort of detail emerging, there was not a single mention of the word 'consent' in the whole report when I searched it, in relation to the patients agreeing to the treatment. Astonishing.

No mention of consent at all. But patients (who were NOT there for palliative terminal care) being given morphine for break of hip femur which they didn't actually have.
