    On Jan 28, 1922 Lord & Lady Byng officially opened Ottawa’s “slide-a-mile” ice slide at the Ottawa Locks. For ten cents, riders could fly down the icy chute at almost 100 km/h from atop the Plaza Bridge & all the way down to the frozen Ottawa River! 🙆‍♂️
