Re VA aftermath: Reagan lost 26 House seats in 1982. Clinton lost 52 in '94. Obama lost 63 in '10. Exceptions: W '02, because war (lost 30 in '06) & HWBush '90 (lost 8 w/57% JAR). Barring big unexpected event, Trump will lose lot of seats.pic.twitter.com/qEu8NLX174

Haven't we learned to stop using normal election history as a predictor for Trump?

Excellent review! But history isn't always destiny. A lot can still happen between now & November 2018! #MAGA, #NoSurrender #GOP

The Republicans should try actually passing some major legislation. Feels like we have a lame duck Congress.

We've been told for years what can be done if we hold both Houses and the WH. Now, all that has been a lie. The leadership has no spine or wants to support THIS POTUS agenda. The Uniparty wants to keep their scam on taxpayers $$ intact

TBH Congress is working much harder on it than our current prez. Can’t get a few rogue Congressmen in line.

There is significant consensus including @AHMalcolm astute analysis. But @realDonaldTrump will not be able to contradict and disappoint his globalizing daughter, so we are on our own. Fasten your seatbelts, free fall ahead. What to do?http://www.mcclatchydc.com/opinion/andrew-malcolm/article183076136.html …

After the thumping you pontificators took in 2016, you'd think you'd refrain from this kind of stuff. There was no Steve Bannon back then, and there was no movement. It was business as usual, this isn't.

If President Trump has already proved anything at all - it's how unpredictable he is when it comes to data of this sort.

Trump's going to gain seats. I'm not saying that to be contrarian. The vulnerable seats favor GOP, the culture issues, immigration that propelled @realDonaldTrump getting worse. DT isn't to blame for feeble Congress, he did his part, got elected, proposed legislation, what else?

When will the political class understand we are not in charted waters? Don’t assume anything. All of the other races went R. These were suppose to be D states anyway. Oh well

The aftermath lol, you mean like when @POTUS shattered the glass ceiling with winning 3000+counties to HRC 57 👏. That's real aftermath, the great thing is the aftermath is still rolling along. Go back to sleep.
