I'll go with Turley on this one. Not @NRO or @Politico https://jonathanturley.org/2017/06/08/did-comey-violate-laws-in-leaking-memo/ …

Mr. Comey had a private conversation with the President and then leaked his recollection to the media to push for Special Counsel.
-
The conversation was privileged and the disclosure was done for retaliatory purposes. Did Mr. Comey act appropriately?
-
Then, we have Mr. Comey creating memos during course of duties and refusing to turn them over to the responsible oversight committee? What?
-
Instead, Mr. Comey gives them to Special Counsel. In turn, will the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has oversight, subpoena them?

Stop calling it 'leaking', he disseminated info that was his to share. BFD
-
It wasn't his to disseminate, that's the problem. Was property of FBI, he signed a form understanding that.
-
But it was, yet, unclassified.
-
Property of government is property of the government. Look at the docs government employees sign. He wasn't at home writing in a diary.
-
Wow. This is like trump trying to put journalists in jail for discussing confidential info.
-
You've never worked for the government or any companies that have contracts with the government obviously.
-
You'd be amazed

-
Well then you should know you can't disseminate/leak documents created on the job. They're not your property regardless of classification

Any communication with the president by its very nature is classified unless otherwise stated, nice try, but Comey got problems coming.

He did display his bias and lack of integrity with his sanctimonious attitude. It is interesting how he portrayed himself as the victim.

Memos written while performing ones duty on a gov't computer, in a gov't car equals property of the gov't. Not his to disseminate=trouble
