@ThePlumLineGS Why the comprehensivitis? Answer should be no. Fix urgent problem now.
@SimonWDC At which point they would become low removal priority.

@ByronYork Not true. Under current policy all caught illegally entering the country even minors are highest priority for removal. -
@SimonWDC Read Wilberforce requirements. (Law is being cited by WH, DHS & Hill Dems.) I'm told hearings now being scheduled one year out... -
@ByronYork Also, don't pin this all on Wilberforce. See this 2004 CIS report on new Bush regs on imm minors http://cis.org/NoChildLeftBehind-RefugeeChildren …. -
@SimonWDC I'm not trying to make it a Dem thing. House/Senate passed Wilberforce unanimously. Bush signed. -
@ByronYork Understand, but it is 1 step in decade-long developed consensus on imm minors. Legit to debate whether needs to be updated now. -
@ByronYork But to be clear, adults coming too. Passing CIR will be just as powerful, necessary as any reform of minor system. -
@ByronYork Repeat: only scenerio where CA migrants legally stay in US is if CIR doesn't pass. Passing CIR takes that scenerio off the table.
