        @ByronYork The key number is net newly insured. That would be total insured & paid minus number who lost coverage because of Obamacare.

        @brithume by my count, that's less than 1 million.

        Could well be but hard to calculate since we don't know how many have paid. “@guypbenson by my count, that's less than 1 million.”

        .@brithume Right. My calcs based on official #s + nat'l McKinsey study. 5 mil "enrolled," 27% prev uninsured, 53% payment rate.

        @guypbenson @brithume @ByronYork So #Obamacare cost $960 billion for a net gain of only 1 million newly insured. That's awesome. #sarcasm

        @ByronYork Why does it matter if they have paid now if insurance is not valid until April 1st? Shouldn't that question be asked after 31st?

        @goodnewsgoddess no, the 5mil includes people that signed up since Oct 2013. Insurance begins 30 days after. So it's a valid question.

        @nomad31 I highly doubt folks who signed up in October but who have not paid are being counted in the current numbers.

        @goodnewsgoddess it's a well established fact, hence the intense criticism. They're only counting people who signed up, not who paid

        @ByronYork and since we're celebrating this number, how many are being subsidized? It isn't hard to give away free stuff. Marketing 101.

        @ByronYork I do not know why Congress cannot demand the number - ask insurance companies - number is bad or they would share #anotherbiglie
