        @jamestaranto Cruz mother met US residency requirements. Obama born in state of Hawaii in 1961; mother residency not an issue.

        @ByronYork I concur. Both parents were American citizens working in Canada. Wasn’t Romney born in Mexico and McCain born elsewhere to?
