REALLY bad idea. If Trump is no longer infections why are they not having the 10/15 debate as scheduled?
Remember when GOP conventional wisdom was that, given polls and changes in campaign, debates would be hugely important for Trump? Still true. But now, after troubled start, he's refusing to take part in second one. Bad idea. Even after CPD abruptly changed rules, still bad idea.

This isn’t true. He isn’t refusing the second debate. This is completely false. He wanted an in person debate and then they cancelled it because the moderator was caught colluding against trump and they couldn’t get their affairs in order.

That’s a point many are missing. He never agreed to the format change. It was forced upon him. You can argue all you want about other safeguards or protections to ensure a fair debate. There’s a lack of trust there and can you blame him?
