The numbers don’t lie @chesaboudin supporters. And I personally received an email from a crime victim who was pressured by @SFDAOffice to do “restorative justice.” Anyone else who wants to tell me their story anonymously or otherwise please email me: susan@marinatimes.com.https://twitter.com/TheMarinaTimes/status/1304519260727701504 …
Wait... a beef with the MTA that suggests SFPD may not help with fare evasion and rowdy passengers isn’t support for a claim that it’s encouraging the type of pullback discussed in the Atlantic article.

Though we’re probably in agreement that an enforcement body other than armed police is better suited to deal with fare evasion

Disagree. A beef would be to publicly criticize them. SFPOA said "don't call us" - implying cops won't or shouldn't respond to crime calls (of all types) from MUNI BECAUSE (just like in the article) they disagree with a governmental action MUNI had a right to take. 1/2

SFPOA bragged a few years ago their members are THE most generously compensated cops in US. Since then, they've won contracts giving them 3% raises each year that REQUIRE them to NOT support slow downs for ANY reason. Yet, SFPOA openly violates that and STILL want more $. 2/2
