Was he aware that he didn’t have the proper driver’s license? A commercial license requires a lot more training and includes responsibility for knowing the inspection status and condition of your vehicle.

Less than a month ago I was a passenger in a limo, in the 1st group of passengers in a large party. The 2nd group smelled fumes on the way to the destination...the car had serious brake issues & the driver was shocked, as the fleet owner never told him - this is 100% possible!

How would he not know? Isn't there something called an inspection sticker in NY?pic.twitter.com/nEqp3K7meV

Inspections are annual; this doesn't necessarily mean the vehicle didn't pass inspection at the time it was inspected. And on a side note, many places in NY are willing to pass vehicles on inspections that *legally* *technically* shouldn't pass...so...pic.twitter.com/BY9T1Phkh2
