Science isn’t debatable. It’s not a partisan issue. Science is the truth whether you believe in it or not.

By 2050, sea along NC coast is predicted to rise 15” higher than current levels. Yet developers & state legislatures purposely ignored warnings. This is what happens when every decision is based on businesses’ ability to make $ up front instead of who will pay for clean up.
-
I was told that Florida would be completely under water by 2014 but I’m not swimming right now.
-
One problem w/Florida when sea levels rise is fresh water ground reservoirs will get contaminated among other things. You may want to debate why sea levels are rising but they are rising.

God's will and all...and I've literally heard the "religious" right say that if the earth/Mother Nature/God was mad at us for polluting, it/she/He would just destroy us to right the wrongs. My head hurts.
-
Yep he's coming back... any... minute... now...
-
...and won't they be surprised to find that He's none too pleased with them.

The only thing better would be if He came running back in one of those adorable T-Rex costumes they have out now. Somehow, I think He'd have a blast throwing down the gauntlet in one of those.
-
Hahahahaha! I like you! I used to live in Asheville btw. NC represent!

One of our liberal safe havens!
-
Absolutely. Just hoping all our little 'bubbles' can come together to right all the wrongs of the last few years.

Similar in Florida. Gov Scott in 2011 took $700 million out of water treatment and now we have uncontrollable red tide
-
It’s not red tide, it’s toxic algae blooms in the east and west run offs from lake O because big sugar is dumping their toxic waste in it and it’s going straight to the ocean.
-
Red Tide is more of the nickname for the toxic alge bloom
