When one of the best investors of all time is sitting on a ton of cash and saying asset prices are sky high, you should probably listen and do the same.

People love that rise in price and hate them when prices fall. Makes ZERO sense. If a stock ⬇️, an investment becomes less risky. If price ⬆️, more risky.

If you are planning to break into the industry, pay close attention to the investment style. One thing I realized when I transitioned to the at a is that most hedge funds are extremely short term oriented, not true long term investors.

For some reason, I laugh everytime I see a person’s and they mention / in the interests section. Like really? Can’t people come up with something that they are actually interested in?

Don’t change jobs in your 20s for just a salary bump. Spend time figuring out what job suits you best and developing a reputation. Promise you a $10-50k increase doesn’t change anything once you’re already making six figures.

Don’t keep switching jobs/careers just for higher pay. You need to have some longer term . Make sure each step you take gets you closer to that final goal.

Best piece of advice if you dread your job, but know you have to put two years in: - Stop complaining The more you talk about how much life sucks, the worst it’ll be.

It’s crazy to think that for the majority of people, getting up five days out of the week is a chore. You need to figure out how to love waking up in the mornings, otherwise you’ll spend the majority of your life dreading the weekdays.

: To be a successful investor, you have to be willing to take big bets in situations where everyone thinks you’re wrong. Harder than it looks. Most join the crowd and can’t stick to their convictions.

Lifestyle creep is why majority of people who make more money end up not happy and not feeling rich. Best way to prevent it is to: 1) Transfer majority of your paycheck automatically to an investment account 2) Stop comparing your lifestyle to others
