    Coming rain for eastern Australia over next 8 days will go a long way to reducing fire risks but problems of flash-flooding and ash/soil contamination for waterways and reservoirs may be unwelcomed outcome in some places.

    Spotted pardalotes are one of my absolute favourites. Their delicate polka dots are too adorable! Often seen high up in the canopy, we were lucky to get one in the nets.

    During December a series of lighting strikes resulted in patch burns across . Today & I installed cameras to monitor fauna movement in & outside of the burnt areas. Stay tuned for results & hopefully cool animal photos.

    Checking my wildlife water stations in the Blue Mountains and so happy to find loads of regeneration and evidence that animals are using the stations! I also found 3 Gang Gang Cockatoos!

    💦 50 mm of rain at (more than we got in all of 2019) and the worst of the drought broken. We'll take stock later, planning for easing the arid zone into a hotter and drier future, but for now... yay for frogs! 🐸
