Some thoughts below on language and police power. I’m curious if others think this matters or have other word choice issues relevant in this context. Leave a comment if you do!

At the beautiful Delaware beaches & everyone is wearing a mask AND doing normal things: going to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants etc We are a freedom loving country & a free market economy - requiring people to wear masks during a pandemic does NOT undermine those freedoms.

Bernie and the Squad's $2,000 a month UBI during COVID would have reduced so much misery and pain but instead we did a bi-partisan bailout of landlords and steakhouses.

    3. Ordinances with titles like, CIVLIAN Police Accountability Council (“CPAC”) reinforce the misconception that police are not civilians. No matter how they dress, or act, or what sort of tank-like vehicles they ride in, police are not soldiers. They are civilians.

    2. Chicago’s municipal code states, “All complaints of CITIZENS regarding ... members of the department of police shall be investigated.” (2-84-430). Non-citizens have a right to police accountability too, and any ordinance to reform police oversight should change this language.

    1. Police referring to non-police as SUBJECTS (i.e., “one that is placed under authority or control”) is demeaning and mischaracterizes the relationship between a free people to their government. Police exist because we allow them to. I am no one’s subject, and neither are you.

Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president.

⁣Two people who collaborate well will be about three times as effective as each of them operating independently, because each will see what the other might miss—plus they can leverage each other’s strengths while holding each other accountable to higher standards.

He ran for President four years ago promising to build a wall to keep the rest of the world out. Four years later, because of his incompetence & narcissism, the rest of the world is keeping us out.

Weird how the “broken windows” theory (punish small crimes to discourage big ones) was never applied to police misconduct. The result? Lots of entitled cops who think their owed a job, your respect, and your immediate compliance. They’re not. They serve us. We deserve better.

Serious question to my elected officials (or anyone else with knowledge): Why doesn't CPD report the number of drones it owns? ,,,,,

Why doesn't report the number of drones it owns ? State law requires law enforcement agencies to report and ICJA publishes information annually here: .. Is CPD exempted for some reason?

Don't worry about those Confederate statues being torn down. They're getting what they always wanted: out of America.

The mindset of modern police departments is dangerous. This former officer does a good job explaining it so that us "sheep" (a cop word for non-cops) can understand how serious this problem is.
