Rest in peace Dr. Hawking. Now you're free of any physical constraints.. Your brilliance and wisdom will be cherished forever ✨

Thank you "Wonder Woman" for that completely ableist comment. Being disabled is not a restraint, he is one of the greatest minds in the world AND he was disabled. It did not RESTRAIN him. So disappointed people think this way. 😑😑😑

Really made me sad to read that people actually think like that. Like being disabled is the worst possible thing to be and that death is the best way to be free of it

Wow... people took this way out of context. Come on people, her choice of words may not have been the best, but I think we can all agree she meant well. Nobody cares about anybody's feelings. Suck it up and move on.

What disappoints me is a young woman who cannot look at it how it was meant, with genuine respect and admiration, and lashes out telling another person what they say is wrong. When it is that young woman's own baggage that causes the angst.

He couldn't walk, talk etc.
He had physical restrains weather you chose to pretend he didn't or not.
That's not necessarily a good or bad thing, that's the truth.

I will no longer be responding to any replies on this, or any related, if you disagree, that's your decision, I'm not interested in arguing or trying to change your mind, but if you wish to try and broaden it, it's amazing what may happen. Have a nice night guys

She tweeted the word constrain not restrain. He spoke about how motor neurone disease did constrain his physical body but not his beautiful mind. Some of the tweets here are very Handicapist.

Yes, it did restrain you. The fact that he was one of the greatest sciensist still doesn't mean the physical constraints weren't real.
I don't think Mr. Hawking enjoyed sitting in a wheelchair all day, probably had his ass wiped by other people. There were the constraints!

I’m disabled and although I do achieve great things I can be proud of, I do wish I wasn’t disabled. You’re views definitely do not resonate with the entire disabled community. You’re ridiculous. Do you think Hawking liked the fact he was disabled? I doubt it.
