September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. The blood disorder is disproportionately common among Black folks, but is treatable with intervention. We can all #ShineTheLight on Sickle Cell by getting screened, donating blood if eligible and supporting research to find a cure.

During the events, Black pilots were forced to use outmoded aircraft while white pilots got state-of-the-art planes. When the Tuskegee Airmen team won, their victory was ignored & the trophy was not publicly shown for 55 years. Today we celebrate & honor the original Top Guns.
