Bioinformatics folks, any idea why PhyloPhlAn3 is clustering very closely related genomes based on assembly type (hybrid vs Illumina) rather than actual relatedness? No problems if using SNP-based approach btw.
I know so many graduate students that have their families with them here in the UK. Very often their studies are funded by their home countries and they bring and spend tens of thousands of pounds into the UK every year. This decision is both cruel and counter-productive.
