Charter Schools are an unaccountable grift that harms children and erodes our public schools.

LOL the city finally sent a snowplow down my street three days after it would have helped. Now we've got a sheet of ice until it's warm again but thanks for the salt I guess?

Once again the media has swallowed Byron and his allies' efforts to turn this into a communications problem and ignores the actual problem. Lack of fluoride is the problem, not lack of transparency. Lack of snowplowing is the problem, not lack of plow trackers.

"For the Common Council, we’ve been trying to have more transparency," University District Council Member Rasheed N.C. Wyatt said. "However, it doesn’t seem that the administration follows suit with that." bit.ly/3WP1kGm
Multiple studies show only 3-9% of 911 calls are for violent crime or crime that could possibly warrant a police response—and 91-97% are for social needs. If you think the solution is to spend even more on 3-9% while ignoring 91-97%—you’re making public safety worse, not better.

MN Police claimed George Floyd died of a “medical incident” & made 0 mention of kneeling on his neck for 9 min Memphis Police claimed Tyre Nichols had “trouble breathing” & made 0 mention of beating him for 10 min Media needs to hold police accountable—not parrot their claims.

1. Don’t create “elite” police units who get special privileges, less oversight, and get to take shortcuts. 2. Definitely don’t give those units names like “Scorpion.” 3. The cops who really, really want to work on those units are the last cops who should be working on them.

Charging or jailing the killers is not enough. Justice is changing the conditions so no-one dies during a traffic stop. Policing is fundamentally broken. Trading white officers for Black ones was never a solution. If we're serious about public safety, we'll fund our communities
