    Close range encounter with a coyote. Harder to fool than a whitetail or a turkey. Watch what he does when he catches my scent.

    Still sneaking out for a few hours at various locations on the Mississippi River. This 2020 Chevy Silverado High Country is a towing powerhouse, BTW. Enjoying October!

    My lifelong history and deep background as a bass fisherman resurfaces again and again. The challenge of tackling the Mississippi River this fall near my hunt cabin has reopened instincts that were there all along. Big bass on cranks yesterday.

    Got into the big crappies on the Mississippi yesterday. Saw em on the sonar and thought “walleyes”. Instead, it was “slab city”. St. Croix’s Legend Xtreme 70MLF

    Wow! Yesterday was easily the BEST Oct day I’ve ever had on BIG LMBs. Not the best in numbers, but the best ever on big fish. Oct full moon on the Mississippi = big bass! St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass 7’ MH, JBO Beast Braid 20# line. Low geared baitcaster. Slow Spinnerbait.
