Today, I signed the bipartisan Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. The United States will continue to use every tool at our disposal to ensure supply chains are free from the use of forced labor — including from Xinjiang and other parts of China.

This week marks the 4️⃣ year of my father’s disappearance. I don’t know where he is & how he is. For the past four years, China hasn’t responded to any reports and news about him. China has also not responded to calls from the government, human rights organizations nor my demands

The Chinese government has not yet commented on the verdict or any other information regarding their hostage for last 4 years. China free my father now! He is 72 years old, let my father live with my mother for the rest of his life in his home in Urumqi.

I hope there is no ominous reason why my father’s whereabouts is unknown. My father, Qurban Mamut, was abducted on December 2017. This week marks the fourth year of his disappearance. I demand China to respond to my questions and to release my father before the New Year.
