I would like to know why Statcan decided to measure the cost of entirely new plans versus the invoices everyone pays per month.

That’s of course if you want to pay $80 a month for a full-sized plan, or around $50 with a medium amount. If your budget can’t handle anything above 40, you don’t have many choices for anything useful.

According to statcan, eligible folks could likely get a larger data plan if they switch providers for if they’re lucky, a possibly lower promotional price.

Among other policies, we need ALL parties to pledge to reverse the 2021 wholesale rates decision to bring affordable Internet to everyone in Canada. Send a message to every candidate in your riding: Put our Internet back on course!

We are calling for universal broadband internet access and affordable internet. To that end, we demand evidence based decision making at the CRTC and the reinstatement of the 2019 rate decision!
