Charter flight to Jamaica set for next Tuesday: up to 50 people to be deported, often from the only country they have known since childhood. Disgraceful that we are carrying out deportations to Jamaica before Windrush report has been published & risk of abuse & death addressed!

Just heard during hearing with that as a result of this impending cut-off in Home Office funding, has been forced to end referrals – preventing them from helping vulnerable children in care apply for EU settled status

The are bandits... And scammers.. Their pricing schedule and poor service would attract the attention of trading standards in any other business.

Yes has this funding as does and . Given the delays in decision making etc, there is no way all applications will be resolved in next two months 🙁

Pro- Government spin on Nissan leak is it’s “doubling down” on Britain ahead of PM’s speech. Media just parrots. But read the actual scoop: no deal means “not sustainable” for Nissan to remain open for business in UK.

Don’t be getting excited. Nissan is not staying. Brexit will kill its Sunderland plant and the tens of thousands of jobs that rely on it. The blame game has already started: naturally, it won’t be the Government’s fault. (It will be)

Brexit Britain, day 1. I just got a text from my sister, she’s at Stansted airport on her way back from a work trip to Cologne. E-gates are closed for EU nationals, she had to join a long queue and be checked by the border force officer.

Getting emails from EUSS applicants (mainly non-EU spouses) who have been waiting months on their applications, leaving them unable to travel to e.g. visit very sick relatives. They're begging me to write about their cases bc they have "no other option". This scheme is a mess.

Many other Jamaican nationals are said to have been detained in recent days and are set to be deported on the same charter flight on 11 Feb, which and others say should not be happening before the much-delayed Windrush Lessons Learned Review is published
