Because what trans kid will ever come out if they can't get medical care, will be turned in to their unaccepting parents, and will be powerless to stop every bigoted adult at school from verbally abusing them? 8/n
Oh, and lets not forget that the law requires teachers to turn in any student they suspect of being trans? How is a kid NOT going to end up being scarred living in constant terror of being found out? And the mandatory reporting parallels to even darker times than the 30s... 9/n

Teachers should start signal jamming by telling the parents of EVERY child that they might be trans. Or is that made illegal as well?
Probably better to refuse to report and make them defend their inhumanity in court. Telling every parent their child might be trans would just lead to the children of transphobic parents everywhere being abused and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
that is genuinely terrifying. as a closeted trans person who's kinda partially out in school (one of my teachers knows) this is horrifying. especially because i know my teacher wouldn't ever do that, and the thought of her being penalized is awful
Oh for the love of Christ,who warned us against the folly of judging those who break social rules when we ourselves do so, I'm SO sick of Birther craziness! So all teachers,counselors,HRS investigators, cops,probation officers would be legally required to be stooges?
