* It allows anyone who was treated by a doctor for GD under the age of 18 to sue for damages for another 20 years * It gives both parents veto power over any treatment for GD, and no agent of the state may override this 3/n

* It forbids government agents (e.g. teachers) from discouraging youth coming out to their parents. (e.g. a teacher cannot advise a student not to come out because it is not safe). 4/n

* It turns all government agents into mandatory reporters to the parents of a trans youth that they are trans (e.g. all teachers are legally required to tell parents if their child might be transgender) * Any mandatory reporter who fails to do so is subject to penalty. 5/n

* No government employee in Kentucky may be disciplined for expressing their opinion about gender identity. (e.g. a teacher telling a trans kindergartner they're a disgusting God-forsaken abomination that should die because trans is Satanic will be protected speech.) 6/n

Because what trans kid will ever come out if they can't get medical care, will be turned in to their unaccepting parents, and will be powerless to stop every bigoted adult at school from verbally abusing them? 8/n

Oh, and lets not forget that the law requires teachers to turn in any student they suspect of being trans? How is a kid NOT going to end up being scarred living in constant terror of being found out? And the mandatory reporting parallels to even darker times than the 30s... 9/n
