Which way around do you expect to see the operands to a MOV command in assembly?

Personally I see it more like an assignment operator (=), so I expect (hope) it to be "mov dst, src", like x86 ASM Conversely moveFile I consider it more like moving an object away from me, so Src, Dst Instead I have serious problems with "ln" command, but that's another story

“mov src, dst” is just as much x86 assembly as is “mov dst, src” though. It just depends on which assembler you’re using which is considered the default...

You're right: I had to be more specific/verbose When I wrote x86 ASM, I obviously (for me) meant X86 ASM Intel syntax, for x88/86 (and successive) Intel CPU architecture. That's why I wrote "Personally" and "I expect (hope)" talking about x86 CPU with Intel like architecture.

And just for more clarity, my reference was to ASM x86... not the @lunasorcery's one (original question)
