Here's a map showing the swing, by county, between the 2004 Presidential election and the 2018 U.S. Senate Elections.pic.twitter.com/bcJTFAPOKQ

A cool fact from the map above. Every Democratic candidate, except one, did better than John Kerry. John Kerry did a bit better Elizabeth Warren in his home state. Still shows Democrats haven't fallen *too* badly in many states, even with growing urban/rural divide.

The one rural Nevada county, weird.

Inspired by that Miles map of Kerry/Beto? Also check out Reynolds County, MO and the 6th in Ohio

Very unusual for Wyoming to have more than 2 blue counties. It's usually just Laramie and Jackson Hole.

John Kerry narrowly carried Wisconsin in 2004, possibly got help from Russ Feingold (which the Senate misses). In 2018, Tammy Baldwin won Re-election by over 10 points, which may have been what helped Tony Evers oust Scott Walker from the Governors office.

Surprised to see so much red in Texas (even if they're small conservative counties). You'd think Beto would have outperformed Kerry (vs. W) everywhere.
