Jesus came, in the NT we follow his teachings, He was the last sacrifice, He protected the children and establish a benevolent Water Baptism. Jesus is like a filter for the Bible, if something from the Old Law is barbaric just ask if He would have done or accepted it.
The OT claims its devotees must stone to death all sorts of people. Infant circumcision fits right in with that vindictive spirit.
