when my first child was to be born, as a Jew I *also* had 3000 years of ancestors looking over my shoulder, I know what that feels like, and I STILL managed to have the guts to say, you know what, sorry ancestors, but THIS IS WRONG, and this tradition STOPS WITH ME.
